Microcurrent / Electrotherapy
Microcurrent is a low level electrical current that works in harmony with the body to increase the natural levels of ATP (adenosine triphosphate-cellular energy stores). Studies at the University of Washington indicate a 48% increase in elastin, 14% increase in collagen, and 37% increase in blood circulation in just 20 days. Additionally, micro current has the ability to sculpt and let facial muscles, raised eyebrows, relax deep set expression lines and crows feet. Microcurrent also helps products penetrate up to 70% more effectively. Microcurrent has been touted for its dramatic anti-aging benefits. Ms Luba has worked with microcurrent for 32 years and claims this is the best she has seen in a long time! Contact European Skin Care for this new dramatic treatment.
As seen on Oprah! Fox News and Beverly Hills Magazine. Bo Derek and others have seen the results!
As we age ourselves diminishing their capacity to regenerate and sustain a state of healthful youth. The cellular fluids of the body retain more toxins and the blood levels of oxygen and nourishing byproducts is lessened and the vitality of the cells is weakened. Our bodies are left with a less than optimum state of health and a lessened capacity to respond.
"The use of electricity in very low-frequency impulses in the body, delivered through electrodes, is known as transcutaneous stimulations of the nerves, electro-acupuncture, and electro-stimulation," explains Dr. Vladimir Ivancevic. "Here an electromagnetic field accompanies the passage of the electric current through the conductive wire. This is generally known as electromagnetic therapy." He added, "When we use outside electrical impulses to create response we're basing the premise somewhat on the following principles of acupuncture:
- A direct impulse is delivered to the body.
- It is then sent to the cells to energize and stimulate activity.
- The cell then acts as a receptor site.
- Signals are sent to engage a specific response, which can then be manipulated by the equipment.
According to Dr. Ivancevic, "In the original sense acupuncture meant the insertion of needles in a specific region of the body. Electro-acupuncture supplies the body with low-voltage impulses through the medium of surface electrodes to specific body regions by nonspecific electrodes." Patients who have reservations about the use of needles now have a satisfactory alternative, through the use of electric impulses over surface electrodes on the skin. The body intrinsically knows where to send regenerating current to maximize the incredibly effective formulas available in today's products. It is the ability to energize the body and then directed to respond in a correct, amplified way that has treatment results far surpassing all expectations.
David Goldberg M.D. professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York reported that microcurrent is effective, safe and offers a way to tighten skin without surgery.
Microcurrent electrostimulation at low frequency is an ideal stimulus for facial rejuvenation for the following reasons:
- All body functions are governed by electrical systems. This includes muscle contractions and relaxations, nerve functions, glandular secretions, brain activity, healing and regeneration, pain perception, and much more.
- Because the body's electrical control systems are based on very subtle electrical signals in the nano and microamp levels (billionths and millionths of amp ranges respectively), it is true that vastly overpowering currents in the milliamps (thousandths of amps) range can be counterproductive to the aim of restoring internal balance. Yet this is the type of current used in most facial rejuvenation devices. While these "overkill" currents can make the face look temporarily better by artificially relaxing tense muscles, such treatment will rarely provide satisfactory long term effects and may be counter productive.
- Our research has shown that the acupuncture meridian system is balanced rapidly when stimulated with microcurrents in the 1 - 10 Hz frequency range. VBT primarily utilizes such currents for facial stimulation.
